This will underpin a new financial structure based on humanity’s ultimate asset: a healthy biosphere.

The core metric of this system is the global living carbon account, representing the planet’s total biomass. With only 550 billion tonnes of living carbon remaining—half of what once existed—restoration efforts must recover another 550 billion tonnes.

Whole Earth system accounting requires contracts between those restoring and preserving ecosystems and those utilizing natural resources. Empathy Coins are designed to evolve into a currency that facilitates and supports this essential transition.
